Assessment Checklist

The One Medical Passport Assessment Checklist is an electronic “To Do List” that keeps track of the status of all of the documents and tasks that are required to prepare each patient for surgery.  At most facilities, this is accomplished by preop nurses with phenomenal memories and lots of sticky notes stuck to the front of each chart!  But there is a better way.

The One Medical Passport Assessment Checklist tracks the status of all tasks/documents that are required to make sure that a patient’s record is complete.  This includes items such as the H&P, surgical consent, preop phone call and any diagnostic testing or consults that have been ordered.

The Assessment Checklist can be viewed in both a single patient view and also in a global view that shows exactly what has been completed and what is missing for every patient for a specific date of surgery.  The One Medical Passport Assessment Checklist enhances a facility’s capability for the preop staff to work collaboratively because the status of items is updated instantly and then is viewable by the whole department.  For example, an H&P may be received the administrative assistant in preop and as soon as she documents this in the patient’s Assessment Checklist, the nurse who is working on the patient’s Medical Passport will see that the H&P is available.

The power of the One Medical Passport Assessment Checklist can be augmented even further when it is combined with the One Medical Passport Perioperative Document Manager so that as documents arrive via Perioperative Document Manager, the status of the document is automatically updated in Assessment Checklist.
